York is a Norwegian band led by vocalist Erik Schjerven and guitarist Kjetil Nilsen. The band also includes a bassist and a drummer, but these positions are not filled by full-time members.
I came across York a while ago while searching through CSS Vault’s gallery of attractive websites. At the time they had three songs available to download, so I gave them a listen and loved what I heard.
York’s smooth and appealing melodies are composed by passionate and aggressive guitar playing that accompanies the strong yet sensitive vocals of Schjerven. Together the band creates amazing harmonies that make for enjoyable listening.
York has played several shows in Norway, but does not have a recording deal. Less recently, they have attracted attention from a New York radio station and have been featured on a Norwegian music website. However, York is still largely undiscovered.
The band currently has five songs available to download on their website, so go listen to them and let me know what you think.

Thanks to your review I checked out York, and previewed a few of their tracks. I agree with Duncan that they are mediocre, and personally not a band I would want to listen to much of. I look forward to more music reviews on here though. Keep up the great work.
